This depends on whether you would like to apply for an admission-free or a limited admission study programme. This information can be found in the range of degree courses under "Degree course / bachelor study programmes".

Why apply on-line?

You are guided step-by-step through the relevant application on clearly arranged data acquisition pages. You have the option of calling up help functions directly whilst doing this (completion instructions).
Once the application has been filled in completely, it must be printed out. A list of the necessary documents to be enclosed is then also listed on the form. If printing out is not possible due to technical reasons or problems occur during data input, it is necessary to log on again. Your application is then processed under the new (higher) applicant number.

Who can register / apply on-line?

You can only register/apply on-line if you have German nationality. A university admission right acquired abroad by German degree course applicants or an international university admission right requires prior recognition by the relevant, responsible state education ministers. Recognition is not carried out by the university.

On-line application is not possible for the master study programmes! In this case, please use the written application forms to apply.

Zur Gewährleistung eines zügigen Ausfüllens (die Eintragzeit ist begrenzt), empfehlen wir Ihnen, nachfolgende Unterlagen / Angaben bereit zu legen, damit während der Dateneingabe ein schneller Zugriff möglich ist (diese Unterlagen sind auch mit dem Antrag an die FHN zu übersenden):

• School leaving certificate or university access right certificate,
• Health insurance certificate (health insurance company with company number and insurance number),
• Information on professional training and employment (if available),
• Data on any service completed (e.g. national service, community service,   voluntary social year, voluntary ecological year) in the form of service time certification,
• Information on any previous degree course,
• Information on any internship completed

Which technical prerequisites are required?

The input computer must be connected to an operational printer. You should use an up-to-date browser version with Java script activated. Pop-ups must be enabled.

Explanation: We make every effort to guarantee the functionality of the on-line application on as many web browsers as possible. Nevertheless, we cannot test all possible browser/operating system combinations. We therefore recommend - also because of security reasons - that you use the most up-to-date browser possible.

The following basically applies: If you do not send any documents to the study service centre, you will not be registered, nor will you take part in the assignment process for subjects with limited admission. Your data will initially remain in the database and will then be deleted completely by the next semester.

Application period for on-line application

Admission-free study programmes: Enable from 15.05. to 15.09.09 for the winter semester 2009/10

Limited admission study programmes: Enable from 15.05. to 15.07.09 for the winter semester 2009/10

Attention! If you would like to apply for two study programmes with limited admission within the university, please make absolutely sure to mark your first choice as the main application and your second choice as the auxiliary application (clearly visible, hand-written entry on the relevant cover sheets of the on-line application print out). If this information is missing, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences evaluates the last admission application received within the period of grace as the main application.
